Distinguished Professorships
Distinguished Professorships
Projects by Professors of Faculty 1 with an excellent research record may be funded through a "Distinguished Professorship." As a rule, awardees are senior researchers who are full professors at the University.
Distinguished Professors receive funding to establish and maintain a nationally and internationally competitive research environment.
The funds may be used for new research equipment, the recruitment of research staff, research visits, and the hosting of visiting scholars. By application, awardees may also be granted reduced teaching assignments.
